The food was fabulous. Each dish was so thoughtfully and so creatively put together. Lobster and cantaloupe!!! The service was so on point. We told them we had a show and they were on top of it but never felt rushed at all. Ambiance in the 200 yr old house was so romantic and sweet. A hard to please customer is very happy.
Ok, this food was amazing. Service was great. Experience overall, top notch. Flavors we're interesting and fresh both from the perspective of the produce and the culinary ideas. May be my new favorite spot. As a point of reference, if you like the Apollo Grill, as I do, I'd say this is a tier above in "foodie factor", but with fewer options. And, sometimes in life, fewer options is a good thing, especially when you can't make a bad choice.
My daughter and I ate here in July, as part of a big party. Neither of us eat animals, or their byproducts and the food they created was fantastic. The only criticism I'd extend is that every course was very acidic and would have really benefited from a bit more heartiness and succulence (coconut and cashew creams, avocado, mushrooms, fresh almond milk, legumes...). These things aren't always compatible with the farm-to-table objective in that region however, so I appreciate the challenge.
Always an excellent experience. You can definitely appreciate the quality ingredients and the attention to detail that goes into every dish. We never leave without having the butterscotch pudding. Great place for special occasions or a romantic dinner
Despite having reservations there was a fair amount of wait time. Ignored by bar staff while we were waiting. The food was very good.
